Bryce and Emily are so cute! I had the opportunity to take their pictures for their Save the Dates, and I absolutely love them. Bryce and Em are madly in love and I can’t wait for them to get married. Emily is going to make such a stunning bride!

Micah and Tyler Foale

Blog, Couples, Sessions

I had an absolute blast taking Micah and Tylers pictures. They are such a sweet couple and were so fun to work with. They are high school sweethearts ( I love high school sweethearts because I’m dating mine also:) ) Micah is currently in pharmacy school (also a softy for pharmacy students because my boyfriend is one) and Tyler coaches basketball and teaches math. They got married in 2017 and I think they are adorable. They also brought their dogs for a couple photos, and who wouldn’t love a shoot with dogs in them?

Valerie & Cooper

This fall session was one of my absolute favorites!! Valerie plays on on my volleyball team  and she is one of my dearest friends. Her boyfriend, Coop is also one of my closest friends and their relationship is so sweet. Coop is head over heels for Valerie and it definitely shows in these pictures! I loved watching them laugh through this session! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for them!

Right after my trip to Destin, I turned around two days later and hit the road with my boyfriend (Caige) to Tennessee. Caige will be attending Pharmacy school in the fall in Johnson City, Tennessee. Caige had to do a couple things in Johnson City, so we decided to make a little trip out of it.  On our way to Johnson City, we stayed in Nashville for a night. I had never been to Nashville, and I was so excited to finally get to go! It was a quick trip, but Caige and I made the best of it! We hit the famous Broadway Street, where we walked in and out of the shops and bars and then decided to eat dinner at Rippy’s Bar & Grill. I got a cheeseburger with curly fries while Caige enjoyed a brisket basket. We took a walk on the Pedestrian bridge and at the Music City Walk of Fame park. Before we even got to Nashville, I told Caige I had to hit some of the murals that I had seen over and over on social media. He was a champ and helped me find them. We first went to the tie dyed Nashville mural. This one was super colorful and a great photo op. The next two murals were right next to each other. One was located at Draper James, Reese Witherspoon’s adorable store, and the other was the “I Believe in Nashville”mural. Draper James’ building is painted blue and white stripes on the side and is perfect for pictures! They also have a cute white bench with their store name right above. Right across was the “I Believe in Nashville” mural and it’s definitely a no brainer to take a picture with if you visit Nashville.

As you know I am obsessed with donuts. I love love love donuts. They are my favorite thing in the world  I love to try any and every kind. So of course, Caige and I went to the cutest Donut Bakery I have yet to see, Five Daughters Bakery. When Caige and I pulled up, I knew I was going to love it. The outside is teal and light pink. They have subway tiles in the entry, souvenirs, murals, quotes about donuts, and much more. It’s so cute! Definitely the highlight of our quick trip to Nashville!

Destin, FL

Blog, Travel

My two best friends ( Martha & Calli) and I decided to take a graduation trip to Destin, Fl. More accurately, Santa Rosa Beach, FL. My grandparents live on a private beach in Santa Rosa Beach and it’s absolutely gorgeous. It’s the best place for a vacation, especially for three girls who could be professional beach bums or starving artists that live on the beach (they, like me, are also artists). We had the best four days relaxing, tanning, eating, shopping, tanning some more, and eating way, way too much. If you’ve never been to Destin, go go go! You will not regret it, I promise.

We ate at the best places during our trip. The first night we ate at the Surf Hut. It’s right on the beach, has a fun atmosphere, and the food is amazing. The fried crab claws, so good. Try them. Get them. Seriously, you won’t be disappointed. The next day we ate at the The Back Porch. It definitely rates as one of my favorite restaurants in Destin, but that’s not saying much since I love every place there.  This place has a special place in my heart. If you ever read the Southern Sisters books, you’ll know why. It’s fun, colorful, which us artists like, and has a great gift shop to pick out  any cute shirt your heart desires. Our last day for lunch we ate at Pompano Joe’s. Again, on the beach, super cute and colorful, and such a great atmosphere! The other nights my grandparents fed us wonderful BBQ and we ate in Baytowne. Baytowne is such a fun and neat place, all kinds of cute restaurants, little shops, a candy store, ice cream shops, bars, and fun things for kids to do!

We spent 90% of our time on the beach. We all three love to tan and honestly, who wouldn’t want to be on that white sand all day long? Our highlight of our trip was definitely paddle boarding one morning. I had paddle boarded before, but Martha and Calli wanted to give it a try. My grandpa had taught me a couple years back, so I stepped in and taught them how. In all honesty, I thought they would maybe try it for a second or two and fall off and we would stop real quick. Yeah, that wasn’t the case. Both were a pro and we made the whole day out of it. We even had dolphins swim right near us and under us. It was the best day! Also, my grandmother, knowing how artsy we are, booked us a sand castle teaching-learning-building class! Let me tell you, building legit sand castles is such hard work and requires patience and upper body strength. But it was definitely worth it. Just look at our picture!

Our trip, of course, ended with a small photo shoot.  I couldn’t go to the prettiest place and not have a small session. They sometimes hate me for it, but usually love me in the end.

Caige’s Senior Session

Blog, Sessions

This session was so special to me. This is my high school sweet heart, Caige! He’s the most hardworking, dedicated man I know! Caige just graduated with a degree in chemistry, and he will be attending pharmacy school at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. I am so proud of him, and I can’t wait to watch him on this adventure!

Special thanks to Calli Kaiser of @callikaiserdesigns (on Insta) for snapping some pics of Caige and me during the session! What a perfect way to close out senior sessions for 2018!
